The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Paijo Sutrisna in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Agustín Saelices with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Dante in the 35th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Paijo Sutrisna in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Paijo Sutrisna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to SAPI FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Caio Dante hit a great ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Dante's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caio Dante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 64 minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, SAPI FC's Caio Dante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SAPI FC made a substitution. Tymoteusz Faron replaced Tito Rangkuti. Warsidi Oktavianus made a great header on SAPI FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save.
