Will Queraria took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Simpson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marty Simpson went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Simpson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 卓森傲 who took care of the corner kick. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Ibarra having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Ibarra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Will Queraria kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Queraria in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Paulo Figueiredo to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnny Ibarra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ecuador lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
