Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jaime Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corinthians's goalie prevented a goal. After 10 minutes Corinthians's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Cristian Sancho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Jaime Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Corinthians's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jaime Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Ramos in the 19th minute of play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristiano Messi struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jaime Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ignacy Kinic was slow to take the kick. During this time Corinthians's players had a chance to rest. The Corinthians players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Cristiano Messi made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Andino during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Cristiano Messi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Messi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Messi in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ignacy Kinic who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Fred Royal at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Ecuador. 2-2. 85 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Corinthians's Jaime Almeida. Jaime Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Kiril Biradzhiev hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Messi in the 91st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ignacy Kinic was slow to take the kick. During this time Corinthians's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Ignacy Kinic got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 94 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goalkeeper Jaime Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Fred Royal got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Corinthians throughout the match.
