The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Zeledon Gurutz threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmundo Espiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ivan Navarro made in the 18th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sebastian Villa. よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's Zeledon Gurutz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 20th minute of play forced よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's goalkeeper Zeledon Gurutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Gurutz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 35 minutes into the match Edmundo Espiga climbed in front of goal and pressed up 4-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Zeledon Gurutz. In the 38th minute, Honduras's Sebastian Villa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zeledon Gurutz. Zeledon Gurutz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. Sebastian Villa might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Gurutz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. Andres Gizon kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Moises Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Zeledon Gurutz, making the score, 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zeledon Gurutz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeledon Gurutz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Andres Gizon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Ivan Navarro made in the 63rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sebastian Villa. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Luca Espinar sped through よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeledon Gurutz. Elpidio Breogan made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Luca Espinar put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zeledon Gurutz. In the 73rd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Gurutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Honduras booed when よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Gizon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Gurutz. The よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Gurutz should have stopped the shot. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Gurutz. Zeledon Gurutz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Zeledon Gurutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Cabal in the 85th minute of the match. If Milagros Cabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Gurutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Gurutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 92nd minute of play. よα αςα∂ємια נυиισяѕ's Zeledon Gurutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentín Carvallo in the 94th minute of play.
