Mekki Item stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zulkarnaen Mandaga's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga. But to his dismay, Zulkarnaen Mandaga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. The Chile players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bandung Tigers were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zulkarnaen Mandaga to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Cristian Saldanha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandung Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. 54 minutes into the game, one of Bandung Tigers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 78 minutes, Radomir Gajewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandung Tigers and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Indiano. Zulkarnaen Mandaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Zulkarnaen Mandaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mekki Item narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Zulkarnaen Mandaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Mekki Item was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
