The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 3rd minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Leopoldo Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Zulkarnaen Mandaga came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radomir Gajewski kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Mekki Item didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mekki Item having to interfere. Zulkarnaen Mandaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 26th minute. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Mekki Item tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Radomir Gajewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zulkarnaen Mandaga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Leopoldo Azevedo's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Leopoldo Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Bandung Tigers's Fachri Puang made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute Zulkarnaen Mandaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Bandung Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xiao Jie De to maneuver through the defense. Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 67th minute of play. With a little luck, Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 80th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fachri Puang in the 81st minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 84th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bandung Tigers had won after a very even match.
