Şükrü Lebib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Şükrü Lebib in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Jaime Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Şükrü Lebib quite easily take care of the ball. Şükrü Lebib made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jorge Sainz sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Şükrü Lebib in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes Ötüken Türk Gücü got a freekick which was hit by Recai Kargin. After recieving a nice pass, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Şükrü Lebib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Ötüken Türk Gücü's Recai Kargin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Recai Kargin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ötüken Türk Gücü protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Recai Kargin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ötüken Türk Gücü's Şükrü Lebib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 26th minute of play. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şükrü Lebib. Şükrü Lebib dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Türkeş Kahveci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Türkeş Kahveci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 36th minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Ötüken Türk Gücü's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ötüken Türk Gücü's goalie and right to Jorge Sainz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ötüken Türk Gücü's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ötüken Türk Gücü's Şükrü Lebib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 40th minute of play. Ötüken Türk Gücü's Şükrü Lebib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Ötüken Türk Gücü from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bedir Köksal to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Beldad in the 52nd minute of play forced Ötüken Türk Gücü's goalkeeper Şükrü Lebib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Beldad in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şükrü Lebib saved Ötüken Türk Gücü from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, Ötüken Türk Gücü's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Sainz came free, but Şükrü Lebib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şükrü Lebib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Şükrü Lebib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Gisbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şükrü Lebib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ötüken Türk Gücü defense, Maximiliano Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şükrü Lebib. The Ötüken Türk Gücü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şükrü Lebib should have stopped the shot. Şükrü Lebib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 64th minute of play. Şükrü Lebib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ötüken Türk Gücü defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şükrü Lebib. The Ötüken Türk Gücü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şükrü Lebib should have stopped the shot. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şükrü Lebib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Camilo Franco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Şükrü Lebib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 89th minute of play forced Ötüken Türk Gücü's goalkeeper Şükrü Lebib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Camilo Franco made a precise shot to the right of Şükrü Lebib. Ötüken Türk Gücü's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. 96 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Ötüken Türk Gücü's Şükrü Lebib. Şükrü Lebib was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Uruguay fully deserved thier win.
