In the 34th minute, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The throw-in from Orlando Tafalla in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chorroarín's Prudencio Socorro. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Mitxaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Oinatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Timoteo Arotza sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The nice shot from Timoteo Arotza in the 93rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Pedro Manzanares had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Narciso Oinatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Secada in the 96th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
