Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Santos Lugares FC's Harun Uluer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harun Uluer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Santos Lugares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Evis to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harun Uluer skillfully saved the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Santos Lugares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Harun Uluer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saturnino Lluc made a kick off. A collision led to Santos Lugares FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Omar Berasko hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Harun Uluer in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 68th minute, Ricardo Evis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Blas Felipo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santos Lugares FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, Santos Lugares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Felipo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Harun Uluer in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute of the game, Juan Sebastián Puig landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Artemio Formerio's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Formerio helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Juan Sebastián Puig. A collision led to Santos Lugares FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Artemio Formerio hit a great ball. Santos Lugares FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
