Serafin Ugaitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball.

Cacomixtles de Queretaro made a substitution. Gustav Sefastsson replaced Constantino Henrico. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustav Sefastsson to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Cacomixtles de Queretaro from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Ugaitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Osvaldo Lluis was substituted for Atilano Chorache. Roland Nieruchliwy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustav Sefastsson in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ecuador played a much better game than Cacomixtles de Queretaro and deserved their victory. The Cacomixtles de Queretaro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
