Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Recai Garipbaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Recai Garipbaş came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 16th minute of play forced Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper Karl Martin Bell Burnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Recai Garipbaş received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Recai Garipbaş slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro de Tupã's Deng Shu Kuan got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 30 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Martin Bell Burnell was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Karl Martin Bell Burnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Recai Garipbaş sent off a good shot on target. Alvinegro de Tupã's Karl Martin Bell Burnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Recai Garipbaş had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Recai Garipbaş was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Beltxe to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 54 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Lisandro Beltxe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Lisandro Beltxe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Martin Bell Burnell having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Karl Martin Bell Burnell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Alvinegro de Tupã's Karl Martin Bell Burnell got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's Recai Garipbaş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alvinegro de Tupã were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Recai Garipbaş took the corner. Deng Shu Kuan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Recai Garipbaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Alvinegro de Tupã were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
