Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Khai Choy, made in the 7th minute of the game. 7 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christian Goy. Francisco Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hardo Kaarna in the 10th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hardo Kaarna's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Camilo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Albirex Niigata FC's Christian Goy got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christian Goy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 27th minute of the match. Andrew Tongson's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrew Tongson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Andrew Tongson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Christian Goy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Goy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by 俞冰帆 in the 35th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Albirex Niigata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Polo Maldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Cazalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christian Goy came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaime Cazalla slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 39th minute. Christian Goy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 42nd minute. After 44 minutes of play Albirex Niigata FC's Andrew Tongson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Christian Goy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 52nd minute of the match. Christian Goy came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 俞冰帆, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Francisco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Goy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Hardo Kaarna put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hardo Kaarna struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albirex Niigata FC. After 73 minutes of play, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Goy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Goy having to interfere. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Goy. Christian Goy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. In the 81st minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Goy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albirex Niigata FC were furious when Gencho Ruski was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 90th minute, one of Albirex Niigata FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Albirex Niigata FC. Jaime Cazalla walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Christian Goy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 95th minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When Amir Pieng came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Albirex Niigata FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amir Pieng couldn't finish the play. Uruguay's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
