Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Cassius Byrne started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Adrián-Daniel Dobre sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Coppack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Mei, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 9th minute, Carlos Mei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Cassius Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Cassius Byrne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lyle Coppack breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 28th minute of play forced Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 36th minute of play. Cassius Byrne took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lyle Coppack. Lyle Coppack dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Coppack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu was the one to do the kick off. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián-Daniel Dobre in the 50th minute of the match. The corner led to USA's Edward Mcdonald getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cassius Byrne struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Lyle Coppack didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. If Sam Campbell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Mei in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Patrik De Roost hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, USA's Sam Campbell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lyle Coppack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely from getting a goal against them. When Jenson Smith came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jenson Smith couldn't finish the play. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald.
