The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 莫挺洲 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 3rd minute of the match. 莫挺洲 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 莫挺洲 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Noboa scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 莫挺洲, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 莫挺洲 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 莫挺洲 was left in no man's land by his defense there! 莫挺洲 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 39th minute of the match. 邓誉海 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 莫挺洲 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 75th minute, 徐夕城 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If 邓誉海 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a ≮王者归来≯无名小卒's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, 邓誉海 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and 邓誉海 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Costa Rica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
