Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillen Piñera came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guillen Piñera. Guillen Piñera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Guillen Piñera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The attack was good, but when Axel Tasis in the 19th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oro Villalon in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Ramond Mascareñas struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berenjenas de Punto Fijo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barros Oliver during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Barros Oliver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes Berenjenas de Punto Fijo got a freekick which was hit by Santos Novales. Guillen Piñera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 31st minute of the match. Barros Oliver hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goalie and right to Aaron Alcocer. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 41 minutes, Aaron Alcocer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 43rd minute of play forced Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Guillen Piñera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Oro Villalon tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oro Villalon in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Kaiet Ambrosio struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berenjenas de Punto Fijo. 74 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillen Piñera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Kaiet Ambrosio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaiet Ambrosio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Guillen Piñera. Guillen Piñera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santos Novales kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
