Esteco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Esteco defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo. The Esteco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute Esteco were awarded a corner. Celedonio Oliverios went to the cornerflag to take it. Celedonio Oliverios made a great header on Esteco's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Jiří Petera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Luca Rouco fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Luca Rouco a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Esteco booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball.
