Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Sebastian Jayvier's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Jayvier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd match minute, Mercado Paulista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Jayvier to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute, Kent Lindberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Lindberg's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Kent Lindberg came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Mercado Paulista F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Lindberg couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, Kent Lindberg notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venezuela's attentive Guillermo Mariano managed to snatch the ball when Frans Larsfelt made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Kent Lindberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Mercado Paulista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telo Estruch to maneuver through the defense. Kent Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd play minute Kent Lindberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 3-0. 39 minutes into the game, Kent Lindberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Joshua Secada in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mercado Paulista F.C's Paulino Elequemedo. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Mercado Paulista F.C's Cristian de Lima was substituted for Kent Lindberg. The wind increased when Cristian de Lima made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristian de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercado Paulista F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian de Lima went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian de Lima in the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Mercado Paulista F.C got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hans Doss ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 69th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian de Lima took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Cristian de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian de Lima in the 74th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Mercado Paulista F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Franco Sampler despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mercado Paulista F.C:s goal. 84 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's Cristian de Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franco Sampler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Cristian de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
