When Kent Lindberg came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Mercado Paulista F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Lindberg couldn't finish the play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Sampler was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Mercado Paulista F.C's Adolfo Jorrin got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Franco Sampler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Sampler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Franco Sampler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 26th minute of the match. Franco Sampler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Kent Lindberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franco Sampler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Mercado Paulista F.C's Sebastian Jayvier got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Sampler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Franco Sampler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Macos Graciani threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mercado Paulista F.C's Amado Herensuge quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 48th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 49 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. Cristian de Lima struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercado Paulista F.C. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian de Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mercado Paulista F.C booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Mancebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian de Lima in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cristian de Lima, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dante Lacasa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Facundo Cadaval could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Franco Sampler made a huge save. 63 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franco Sampler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 66th minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Franco Sampler was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 67 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. 74 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Franco Sampler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Sampler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 83rd minute of the match. Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Mercado Paulista F.C from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
