Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Askelöf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Boomerang Bombers's Carl Askelöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute of the match Boomerang Bombers got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henry Tolsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Carl Askelöf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carl Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 33rd minute of play forced Boomerang Bombers's goalkeeper Carl Askelöf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arman Högström came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Boomerang Bombers's Arman Högström got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Askelöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes Boomerang Bombers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Carl Askelöf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play. The Boomerang Bombers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 0-1.

When Jörn Hellsing fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boomerang Bombers's protests and gave Jörn Hellsing a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Jörn Hellsing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Boomerang Bombers's Jörn Hellsing got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Jörn Hellsing off the ground. After a rather tough play, Boomerang Bombers's Jörn Hellsing got a free kick in the 58th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Åke Lundström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Åke Lundström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 67 minutes into the match, Billy Sundberg notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Sundberg in the 75th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Billy Sundberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Carl Askelöf to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Sundberg in the 85th minute of play. Boomerang Bombers's Arman Högström got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carl Askelöf, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Askelöf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Askelöf having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Boomerang Bombers.
