Arí Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 9th minute, Cafu Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 30 de Fevereiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, 30 de Fevereiro's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Fontirroig came free, but Deivid Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deivid Dionísio made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Mario Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. Mario Fernandino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Deivid Dionísio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 20th minute of the match Bolivia got a corner. 30 de Fevereiro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Fernandino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Deivid Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deivid Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Ferrant in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to 30 de Fevereiro getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Basílio Nascimento hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Deivid Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a little luck, 30 de Fevereiro's Deivid Dionísio got control of the ball when Eduardo Fontirroig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deivid Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Bolivia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 30 de Fevereiro:s goal. Camilo Freixa went to the wrong direction when Gil Figueiredo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raphael Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deivid Dionísio came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz. But to his dismay, Alfonso de la Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 56 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Fontirroig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basílio Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Chicote hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the 30 de Fevereiro defense, Eduardo Fontirroig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Deivid Dionísio. The 30 de Fevereiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deivid Dionísio should have stopped the shot. If Raphael Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Alfonso de la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
