Jonathan Alphonse started the match with the kick off. André Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Alphonse, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Almir Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Gilvan Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noel Seide. Haiti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilvan Zonta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 15 minutes, Albertinho Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ravenclaw F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertinho Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saint Jean Pierre to maneuver through the defense. If Bruno Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Haiti booed when Ravenclaw F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magno da Mata hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Jonathan Alphonse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Taffarel skillfully saved the ball. Gilvan Zonta in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Noel Seide, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ernso Constant hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Saint Jean Pierre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Saint Jean Pierre. Noel Seide made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Gilvan Zonta sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Ravenclaw F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ernso Constant came free, but André Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Alphonse's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Ravenclaw F. C.'s Gilvan Zonta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Noel Seide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Albuquerque in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilvan Zonta made a kick off. Ravenclaw F. C.'s attentive Magno da Mata managed to snatch the ball when Jean Marie Alcius made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Bruno Cortez with Luís Eduardo Ferreira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in Ravenclaw F. C.'s zone, Jonathan Alphonse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Taffarel came out of the goal and Jonathan Alphonse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Taffarel came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse. But to his dismay, Jonathan Alphonse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After having played for 62 minutes, Jonathan Alphonse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haiti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Alphonse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Almir Motta fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ravenclaw F. C.'s protests and gave Almir Motta a yellow card for diving instead. Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ravenclaw F. C.. In the 77th minute, Benjamim Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philippe Ambroise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Zonta in the 81st minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Haiti defense, Gilvan Zonta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel Seide. The Haiti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Seide should have stopped the shot. Ravenclaw F. C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
