Claes Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Mellin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 minutes, Egon Ahlbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheetah Team and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom got a free kick in the 14th minute. Salvador Gisbert made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Valter Mellin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valter Mellin's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valter Mellin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Mellin in the 27th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valter Mellin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claes Caspersson. Claes Caspersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Alex Chicote in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Mellin in the 36th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valter Mellin struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheetah Team. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valter Mellin in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Mellin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Gisbert made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom. After 59 minutes of play, Cheetah Team's Valter Mellin made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, Cheetah Team's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Claes Caspersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valter Mellin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Cheetah Team's attentive Egon Ahlbom managed to snatch the ball when Salvador Gisbert made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Caspersson having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Valter Mellin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Caspersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheetah Team the free kick. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Claes Caspersson made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Tim Askberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Tim Askberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claes Caspersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Mellin, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Cheetah Team were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
