The referee showed Sacit Selmi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sakura Storm booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes, Cloyo Salazar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sakura Storm and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cloyo Salazar to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Dziechciowski took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 19 played minutes Sakura Storm got a freekick which was hit by Napoleon Mleczewski. Gervasio Zumista kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Jaime Pardo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enrique Belo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sakura Storm's zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Belo came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Cloyo Salazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Belo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 41st minute of play forced Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Enrique Belo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeusz Dziechciowski took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Gervasio Zumista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakura Storm's Enrique Belo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 56th minute of play. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Belo having to interfere. A collision led to Sakura Storm getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cloyo Salazar hit a great ball. Tadeusz Dziechciowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeusz Dziechciowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Sakura Storm's Zsolt Hubina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marco Romero in the 75 minute of the game. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 75th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Belo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
