Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Peru booed when Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Dum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Hartz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute Teodoro Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Ceni had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Julian Murillo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 25th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Belgrano LOS PIRATAS from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Cumhur Günay came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Harris to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 41st minute, Luz Tejedor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Rogério Ceni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rogério Ceni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Hartz to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Hartz in the 55th minute of the match. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Steve Harris hit a great ball. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS made a substitution. Herbert Pracki replaced Teodoro Hartz. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 70th minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cumhur Günay hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. After 80 minutes Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Eliseo Mina heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herbert Pracki in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute, Herbert Pracki made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Joerg-Uwe Sieben made in the 96th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Guillermo Frank. When the referee ended the match the Peru players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
