The referee ignored Club Atletico Lanus's protests and gave Sixto Cortez a yellow card for diving instead. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Leonides Orlondon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Lanus's Gervasio Santiago got a free kick in the 8th minute. Freddy Bernal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th match minute, Club Atletico Lanus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Salvidor to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes of play, Club Atletico Lanus's Jacobo Olivar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 30th minute, one of Showtime FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Showtime FC. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Club Atletico Lanus. Rodrigo Eli stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonides Lugo. 1-2. In the 35th minute of the match, Melquiades Sanduru tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonides Orlondon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 36 minutes into the game, Sixto Cortez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Leonides Lugo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amador Pagomari hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Rodrigo Eli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Lugo skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Showtime FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ruperto Jerrald hit a great ball. If Jacobo Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacobo Olivar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd minute of the match, Rodrigo Eli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonides Lugo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leonides Lugo was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Jacobo Olivar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacobo Olivar really showed his touch with that goal: 2-7. Generoso Aragones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Club Atletico Lanus's Sixto Cortez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonides Lugo. Leonides Lugo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-8. When the match was over Club Atletico Lanus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Showtime FC throughout the match.
