Gervasio Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Lebron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Måns Sandberg took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Santiago. Gervasio Santiago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Lebron was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Club Atletico Lanus getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Anacleto Eguerdi hit a great ball. Gervasio Santiago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Måns Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Norrlands Athen's Calle Bergfelt got a free kick in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Olivar came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Juan Lebron notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Club Atletico Lanus's Gervasio Santiago. Gervasio Santiago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute Juan Lebron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Santiago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Norrlands Athen's Gilbert Hermansson made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gervasio Santiago was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 93 minutes, Gilbert Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norrlands Athen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Hermansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Juan Lebron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Norrlands Athen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Norrlands Athen had played much better football throughout.
