But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Bidun couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Rodrigo Eli made a precise shot to the right of Edoardo Proietti. S.S.C. NAPOLI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Dave Pierucci kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafael Tano. That made the score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Emiliano Pari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.S.C. NAPOLI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Lanus the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, S.S.C. NAPOLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Pari to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Diaz in the 26th minute of play forced S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalkeeper Edoardo Proietti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes S.S.C. NAPOLI got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Pari. In the 32nd match minute, S.S.C. NAPOLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Nixon to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes of play, S.S.C. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Diaz was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Club Atletico Lanus booed when S.S.C. NAPOLI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Nixon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Orlondon kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Dave Pierucci succeeded in the game's 61st minute to get real power on a long shot . Club Atletico Lanus's Rafael Tano hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 5-1! In the 64th minute, Dave Pierucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Edoardo Proietti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Eli in the 66th minute of play. If Dave Pierucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Dave Pierucci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Tano was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Edoardo Proietti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Edoardo Proietti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save S.S.C. NAPOLI from getting a goal against them. Edoardo Proietti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Eli in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to S.S.C. NAPOLI getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Emiliano Pari hit a great ball. Rafael Tano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Pierucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Bidun's late challenge caught a S.S.C. NAPOLI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guaberto Bidun helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 minutes, Leonides Orlondon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Lanus and the S.S.C. NAPOLI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonides Orlondon kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Lanus's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Pierucci came free, but Rafael Tano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Pierucci struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rafael Tano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.S.C. NAPOLI. After a rather tough play, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Emiliano Pari got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Lanus defense, Dave Pierucci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Tano. The Club Atletico Lanus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Tano should have stopped the shot. S.S.C.
