James Madison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes, Arsenio Maria made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Acuña's Gil Leme tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ariel Ponc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 秦锋旭 in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Bernardino Serapio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Mauricio Macías made a precise shot to the right of Gil Leme. Acuña's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ariel Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Serapio, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 61st minute Bernardino Serapio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Long Liang Wei came free, but Ariel Ponc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Macías in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 87 minutes, Mauricio Macías managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Mitre City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Macías was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 played minutes Acuña got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Serapio. In the 97th of the match, Imam Sarwono tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gil Leme got in the way and made a wonderful save. The Villa Mitre City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villa Mitre City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
