Villa Mitre City's Ariel Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Cordearo in the 12th minute of play. Ariel Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Cordearo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ariel Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Cordearo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During this time Tello AFC's players had a chance to rest. 26 minutes into the game, Villa Mitre City's James Madison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dalmacio Pello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ariel Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Unax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 68th minute, Martin Billing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Pastor Nofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Cordearo in the 99th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Villa Mitre City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tello AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
