A collision led to AFC FUSION getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Romulo Abilio hit a great ball. Villa Mitre City's Saturnino Lehior got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ariel Ponc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Rios went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 19 played minutes AFC FUSION got a freekick which was hit by Guido Txindoki. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Maria in the 21st minute of play. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Madison in the 23rd minute of play. Lino Rios blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ariel Ponc having to make a save. A collision led to Villa Mitre City getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Everardo Lucero hit a great ball. Lino Rios struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ariel Ponc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC FUSION. 36 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Rios. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Rios in the 41st minute of play forced Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lino Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AFC FUSION's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dawid Beckham in the 88th minute. A nice corner shot did that Guido Txindoki got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ariel Ponc quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 90 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Christoff Stocks came free, but Ariel Ponc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mauricio Macías fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Mitre City's protests and gave Mauricio Macías a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Villa Mitre City got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Macías. After having played for 92 minutes, Christoff Stocks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC FUSION's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoff Stocks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jan Hop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute Christoff Stocks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC FUSION were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Villa Mitre City for a fine match.
