But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Eladio couldn't finish the play. Ariel Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Lauaxeta in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre City's Everardo Lucero got a free kick in the 35th minute. Rigoberto Lauaxeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Rito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from James Madison went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Villa Mitre City had played much better football throughout.
