An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Cina in the 13th minute of play forced Carabata Groove's goalkeeper Cristobal Goito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Hauk Hareide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurențiu Pârâianu. In the 21st minute, Hauk Hareide left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carabata Groove fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Laurențiu Pârâianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hauk Hareide, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hauk Hareide in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurențiu Pârâianu saved DINAMO from getting behind. After 28 minutes DINAMO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gunnar Björklund who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Carabata Groove's Gunnar Björklund to fire away a dangerous shot which Laurențiu Pârâianu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Carabata Groove's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Borcz came free, but Cristobal Goito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Neghină. After having played for 35 minutes, Hauk Hareide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carabata Groove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hauk Hareide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermengildo Bazkoare recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carabata Groove's Mauro Elazar was substituted for Hauk Hareide. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Carabata Groove's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gunnar Björklund in the 55th minute. The corner led Carabata Groove's David Rios to fire away a dangerous shot which Laurențiu Pârâianu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Elazar came free, but Laurențiu Pârâianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match Carabata Groove got a corner. DINAMO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gunnar Björklund ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Andreas Möller managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 69thth minute of the game Mauro Elazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Laurențiu Pârâianu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. DINAMO's Laurențiu Pârâianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Bazkoare in the 70th minute of play. Mauro Elazars short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Laurențiu Pârâianu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. DINAMO's Laurențiu Pârâianu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the game, Mauro Elazar lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Laurențiu Pârâianu. In the 93rd minute, Carabata Groove's Mauro Elazar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laurențiu Pârâianu. Laurențiu Pârâianu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8.
