Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piri Vangioni in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Cordairo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Illan came free, but Raimond Lenk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Cordairo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Hernandez in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breno da Mata to make the kick off. The supporters of Piratas FC booed when Copetonas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Tajo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arko Thomaschewski took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimond Lenk. In the 94th minute Arko Thomaschewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantino Idacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
