Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludomir Maziarski was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Linares in the 8th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leeds United were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Murat Radišić took the corner. The corner led to Leeds United's Otis Milburn getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Bartolo Ishmael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ludomir Maziarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Leeds United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. If 于寒康 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Leeds United's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludomir Maziarski came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ludomir Maziarski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bartolo Ishmael made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Bartolo Ishmael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Leeds United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Ludomir Maziarski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 于寒康 in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolo Ishmael in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 played minutes Leeds United got a freekick which was hit by Drago Miladinović. Budo Prijović's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Budo Prijović helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Leeds United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otis Milburn to maneuver through the defense. Ludomir Maziarski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 83rd minute. In the 96th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomir Maziarski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leeds United throughout the match.
