After a defensive mix-up in Alvi Verde's zone, Finlay Stair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Couto came out of the goal and Finlay Stair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duarte Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Finlay Stair in the 11th minute. Duarte Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karlus Waugh, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 13 minutes, Jânio Maia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alvi Verde and the Jamaica players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alvi Verde getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jânio Maia hit a great ball. Javan Develder made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Finlay Stair immediately put the ball in play. Duarte Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Finlay Stair in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Finlay Stair got free with Duarte Couto in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Duarte Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kordal Duff in the 22nd minute of the match. Romon Oliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Couto having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Karlus Waugh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jamaica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The Jamaica fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Jamaica's Finlay Stair looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 47th minute of the match Kordal Duff shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duarte Couto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Stein to make the kick off. Wayan Freeman got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Finlay Stair. Alvi Verde's Duarte Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finlay Stair in the 59th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Alvi Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Jarell Hill came free, but Duarte Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kordal Duff made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alvi Verde's Manoel Berger. After some careless play in the Alvi Verde defense, Karlus Waugh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte Couto. The Alvi Verde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte Couto should have stopped the shot. Duarte Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leron Sale, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Javan Develder got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kordal Duff. After 90 played minutes, Jamaica's Jarell Hill shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Duarte Couto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jamaica reached it. In the 92nd minute Finlay Stair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romon Oliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Couto having to interfere. Jamaica walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
