Abdul Majid Awat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Cesaro couldn't finish the play. After having played for 56 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Atletic Club Araucaria's Abdul Majid Awat got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, Atletic Club Araucaria's Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Atletic Club Araucaria got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Gonchan. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen in the 83rd minute of the match. Mohamed Salah Ben í Lon Jacobsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atletic Club Araucaria fully deserved thier win.
