Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerónimo Molina in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Sam Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes Altermundi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jenson Smith who took care of the corner kick. USA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Altermundi FC had won, even though USA had held more of the ball.
