Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Obrero Barquisimeto's Marcos Akerman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Marcos Akerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Marcos Akerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Arne Teuben tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alex Aliprando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Aliprando came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Akerman in the 12th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 14th minute of the game was made by Misael Barranco with Alex Aliprando as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Joshua Secada kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The corner led Obrero Barquisimeto's Franco Ternero to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A hard shot 23 in the game by Marcos Akerman from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Akerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Obrero Barquisimeto's Marcos Akerman. But to his dismay, Marcos Akerman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 32nd match minute, Obrero Barquisimeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Misael Barranco to maneuver through the defense. Arne Teuben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Akerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Akerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 minutes of play, Obrero Barquisimeto's Marcos Akerman made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Akerman in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Obrero Barquisimeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Akerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Obrero Barquisimeto's Arne Teuben played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Kipchirchir Pikin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arne Teuben stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 75th match minute, Obrero Barquisimeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Ternero to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Misael Barranco hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Teuben having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Marcos Akerman notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
