Germano Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Radoslaw Oleszak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radoslaw Oleszak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Fernando Faria in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peru fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Rolando Noboa had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Matheus Cunha's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Matheus Cunha took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Faria came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Bestia Negra's Radoslaw Oleszak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 37th minute of play. After 44 played minutes La Bestia Negra got a freekick which was hit by Germano Pena.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Fernando Faria was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Ulf Möller in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Efraim Gilabert. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Radoslaw Oleszak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. La Bestia Negra were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
