Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Adan Paio sent off a good shot on target. Adan Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Qwinton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantino Johans was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Megistus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Ondino to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Qwinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Megistus getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nicolas Guzman hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Ariel Qwinton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Qwinton having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Megistus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Miguel Miralles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Megistus the free kick. After 66 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Miralles. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Qwinton having to interfere. Adan Paio's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adan Paio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Panama booed when Megistus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Paio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Qwinton was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Qwinton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Ondino charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Ondino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Megistus got a freekick which was hit by Leo Ondino. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Megistus's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Ariel Qwinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Qwinton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Panama eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
