The referee showed Gilmar Pires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ander Bye having to interfere. In the 15th minute, María-Remedios Sus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Julio Vera, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play forced Anderbye FC's goalkeeper Ander Bye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lince Negro in the 46th minute of play. Elivélton Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Anderbye FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lince Negro to make the kick off. After 54th play minutes Lince Negro shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lince Negro in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilmar Pires was slow to take the kick. During this time Anderbye FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gilmar Pires almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Luís Fernando Vianna hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ander Bye made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ander Bye. Ander Bye yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Ander Bye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play. Anderbye FC's Ander Bye proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Anderbye FC from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the match, Anderbye FC's goalkeeper Ander Bye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 87 minutes into the match, Anderbye FC's goalkeeper Ander Bye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lince Negro in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
