In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERPA's goalkeeper Eugenio Asier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 25 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the CERPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Efrain Roldan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efrain Roldan in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
