Dragomir Marchovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stone City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After 19 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabio Vigil who took care of the corner kick. Stone City's Ulises Curcio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dragomir Marchovski saved Stone City from getting behind. Amanda Ingesson hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Camilo Gisbert made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dragomir Marchovski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dragomir Marchovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of the match. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Pavel Balc in the 45thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner led to Stone City's Pavel Balc getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Curcio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Balc scored 1-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match.
