Gustavo Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lilian Vântu got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Emerson Jacaré scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 2-1. 24 minutes into the match, Colombia's Santino Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Coelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
