Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute Cláudio Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Ferrant made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lautaro Puig. In the 19th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Bufi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 21st minute of play forced Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Arthur Bufi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Juan Rubio in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Juan Rubio with Aaron Alcocer as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 31st minute of the game. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak. 36 minutes into the game, Abel Carballo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Gwidon Cwojdak came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwidon Cwojdak couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gláuber Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Valeriu Toacsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Efrain Moruga made in the 47th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eliseo Noboa. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's attentive Isidro Ferman managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. In the 56th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwidon Cwojdak in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gwidon Cwojdak went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Gwidon Cwojdak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Arthur Bufi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Tasis. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Cwojdak, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Isidro Ferman hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Gwidon Cwojdak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwidon Cwojdak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 80 minutes of play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arthur Bufi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 86th minute of the match. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur Bufi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 89th minute. In the 96th minute, Gwidon Cwojdak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
