Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Taltum FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Taltum FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. Zhang Hao Qing went to the wrong direction when Daniel Zorita was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Cifuentes in the 26th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Taltum FC's Flavio Cifuentes in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Taltum FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhang Hao Qing came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Marcelo Cavenaghi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes in the game, Cristian Sancho dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Flavio Cifuentes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Taltum FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Roldan Castellanos hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhang Hao Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Cifuentes in the 45th minute of the match. Camilo Gisbert made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. Flavio Cifuentes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Cifuentes was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. After 65 played minutes Taltum FC got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Cifuentes. In the 67th minute, Flavio Cifuentes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Espinosa Marco struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taltum FC. When Camilo Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Camilo Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zhang Hao Qing. That made the score 1-1 in the 79 minute of play. Taltum FC's Obregón Pardemanos got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Urko Vinuesa kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Taltum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Zhang Hao Qing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Obregón Pardemanos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Taltum FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andres Tufiño took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Andres Tufiño got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 97th match minute, Taltum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roldan Castellanos to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
