After 9 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. An unexpectedly hard shot by 庞威沙 in the 12th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ensenadas's Mariano Andujar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ensenadas from getting a goal against them. In the 19th match minute, Ensenadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Antunes to maneuver through the defense. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 庞威沙's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Ensenadas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Siro Bazil in the 26th minute. A nice corner shot did that Siro Bazil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Ensenadas's Mariano Andujar got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ensenadas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Mariano Andujar, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Ensenadas booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Siro Bazil was slow to take the kick. During this time Ensenadas's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Maximo Umbruso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 庞威沙, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 庞威沙 couldn't finish the play. Jonas Benino struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ensenadas. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
