With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 9th minute of play. Abel Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 55th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ricart Futebol Clube's zone, Edward Mcdonald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal and Edward Mcdonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zach Harrison got free with Andres Ekhi in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori was substituted for Abel Ramalho. Ricart Futebol Clube's Emanuel Olisadebe managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jenson Smith in the 70 minute of the game. After 70 minutes, Sam Campbell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the USA and the Ricart Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Sam Campbell. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doron Bantz in the 71st minute of play. Geovânio Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Jacob May could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Andres Ekhi however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Ricart Futebol Clube's zone, Khalid Parry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal and Khalid Parry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricart Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Khalid Parry scored to the left of an out of position Andres Ekhi, making the score, 2-2. In the 98th minute, USA's Khalid Parry dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ricart Futebol Clube throughout the match.
