Reis United's João Paulo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to S.C. Reis United getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Henrique Trigo hit a great ball. João Paulo Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reis United got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Lago. 23 minutes into the match, S.C. Reis United's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but João Paulo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Cambeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Aaron Barrios hit a great ball. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. João Paulo Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. When Henrique Lago fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Reis United's protests and gave Henrique Lago a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano. João Paulo Urbano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the S.C. Reis United defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Paulo Urbano. The S.C. Reis United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Paulo Urbano should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elano Reis made a kick off. Luisinho Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute of the match Elano Reis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Reis United's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Urbano came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elano Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elano Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to S.C. Reis United getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elano Reis hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Reis United's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Urbano came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Paulo Urbano. João Paulo Urbano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Urbano having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Paulo Urbano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.C. Reis United.
