Victorio Weather hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Gil Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Fireball Esporte Clube booed when Quimeras Jrs. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastean Battaglia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Pereira's late challenge caught a Quimeras Jrs.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Bo Lennartsson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ilie Grecescu to make any attempt to save it. 36 minutes into the match, Quimeras Jrs.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gil Magalhães came free, but Elias Jordy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastean Battaglia in the 38th minute of play forced Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Ilie Grecescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastean Battaglia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Grecescu having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Quimeras Jrs. got a freekick which was hit by Patric Maria. Elias Jordy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Gil Magalhães fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 48th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bo Lennartsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Elias Jordy was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Tiaguinho Cavalcante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tiaguinho Cavalcante really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. A collision led to Fireball Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bernardo de Lima hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Naldo Schmidt during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 minutes, Alejandro Gaspard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quimeras Jrs. and the Fireball Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
